Katrina Miles

At the helm of Success Personnel is Director and Founder, Katrina Miles.

After several years in various consulting and senior management positions within the recruitment industry, Katrina made the decision to open her own boutique agency to provide a hands on, personalised service to both clients and candidates.

As the head of Success Personnel, she leads by example. With a relaxed yet thoroughly professional approach, an honest and efficient work ethic and a penchant for excellence in recruitment services, Katrina’s team share these same professional attitudes.

Katrina learned her business skills from her varied working background. Working mainly within the recruitment industry she started her career working for a major mining company in Perth and later moved to Port Hedland where she started the first of its kind employment agency in 1987.

Upon returning to live in Perth, Katrina worked as an internal recruiter for Bunnings and after 12 months decided it was time to start her own recruitment agency and so in January 1989 Success Personnel was opened.

Now as a principal of Success Personnel, she feels at home.  Her success is built on her ability to develop long-lasting relationships with both clients and candidates. She has been able to marry her strong industry knowledge with her knack for networking to locate and provide high quality personnel across a wide and varied range of industries.

Katrina’s goal is to make the right match – every single time. It’s not about how many placements she makes, it’s about making sure both the client and candidates are happy.

Jeff Miles

Involved in the business since its inception, Jeff embodies that personal approach with client organisations that sets Success Personnel apart from many of its competitors!

Jeff has a long business career and one that is quite diverse – from Management and Project Accounting roles within BHP, Commercial Manager at Westpac to a Business Coach within the business coaching sector. Jeff is an old hand at combining creative talents with business know-how.

Jeff excels at connecting the recruitment process with ‘Performance Management’ by conducting monthly appraisals for the first three months from the candidate’s start date.  This ensures the Client gets results early on and the successful candidate has a solid career pathway.

Within the senior management and executive search side of the agency, he is able to use his communication skills to build a quick rapport with a desirable prospective candidate. Jeff is able to secure the interest of candidates that no one else can find or get to. He says “it’s because of how I approach them on the phone and get them to consider making a move. That’s the real value of a good recruiter, bringing high-performing achievers to the table that aren’t actually actively looking.”

Jeff loves dealing with placements in any of the professions e.g. Accounting, Law, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Management roles.  Typical engagements are around the $110k – $190k per annum salary range.

Success Personnel also has the skills and history to build Recruitment Packs (Job Descriptions, Key Performance Indicators, Monthly Assessments and Employment Contracts) that deliver outstanding results in cases where some employers may not have the internal infrastructure already established.
